The Gujarat Palak Mata Pita Yojana is a welfare scheme launched by the Gujarat Government’s Department of Social Justice and Empowerment to support orphaned and destitute children. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to foster parents who take care of such children, ensuring they grow up in a family environment rather than an institutional one.

Eligibility Criteria
  
To avail benefits under this scheme, the child must meet the following conditions:  
  • The child must be orphaned or destitute (both parents deceased or father deceased with mother remarried).  
  • The child’s age should be between 0 to 18 years.  
  • The child must be studying (school or Anganwadi).  
  • The foster family’s income should not exceed ₹27,000 (rural) or ₹36,000 (urban).  
Note: Assistance will be discontinued if the child turns 18 or stops studying.  

Required Documents
  
Applicants must submit the following documents:  
  • Proof of Age   
  • Income Certificate 
  • Death Certificate of parents  
  • Proof of Remarriage (if mother has remarried)  
  • Child’s Aadhaar Card  
  • Foster Parents’ Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Ration Card  
  • Passport-size photos of child and foster parents  
  • School Certificate (attested by Principal)  
How to Apply for Gujarat Palak Mata Pita Yojana?


Online Application Process
 
1. Visit the official portal: esamajkalyan.gujarat.gov.in
 2. Find the Palak Mata Pita Yojana section.  
3. Download the application form.  
4. Fill in the required details and attach documents.  
5. Submit the form at the District Social Security Office or Child Protection Unit.  

Offline Application Process

Obtain the application form from the District Social Security Office.  

Submit the duly filled form along with documents.  

The District Social Security Officer will verify and approve the application.  

Assistance Amount
 
Eligible foster parents will receive ₹3,000 per month per child under this scheme.
